This week many of our staff members were able to attend the First Educational Conference in West Aurora. The conference highlighted many innovative and well-known educational speakers and researchers. During the conference the staff explored the Growth Mindset, shared ideas on assessment and homework practices, were inspired by Todd Whitaker, and much more. This conference was the first in the area and those who were able to attend left with many great insights on current practices and how to further expand student-centered learning through personalization.
Please do not hesitate to meet with staff who attended and share in their learning. We intend to have staff present and share ideas over the course of the first few months of next year.

Kaneland Growth Mindset Challenge!
We hope you're having a wonderful break! We'd like to challenge you to find some time to have some fun with us and explore the growth mindset. Personalized Learning Academy 1.0--July 31st
Our first Academy was an awesome day of exploring the concepts of Personalized Learning together, and we are looking forward to our next Academy on July 31st! We will begin promptly at 9am at the Meredith Road facility in the library. Please make sure you complete your Learner Profile and bring your charged laptop, a pair of headphones, and a growth mindset! It's going to be a great day!
