6-12 Math Curriculum Review Update
Our curriculum review team met with 4 vendors on Monday to look at their products and tools to see how they may help our math instruction. We heard from Pearson, Agile Mind, McGraw-Hill, and Houghton Mifflin. Each company provided our team members with a demo account, and our next steps are going to be to look at a similar math lesson through each vendor's account to see how closely their products can meet the needs we have identified for Kaneland. If you have questions please see the representatives from your buildings or email Patrick Raleigh and I'll be happy to share more.

We Need You....Content Seminars
This summer in order to provide staff with options to grow their understanding and knowledge in various content areas, we would like to provide a K-5 Content Seminar Series. These sessions would be general session that take time to review and explore the progress and what's new in the core content areas: Writing, Math and ELA. The series would provide an overview of shifts in practices, continuum learning if applicable, and general best practices in the content area. At this time we are looking for classroom teachers that would have an interest in providing (alone or with a partner) a content seminar. If you have a passion for one of the content areas and would love to assist others in learning more about the learning practices this summer, please contact Sarah Mumm. Sessions can be flexible in length and presenters can select which date to present the seminar. We are excited to begin to run the content seminars as options for learning this summer.
