6-8 EAC Joint Statement

This week our EAC team met to discuss the survey results from the NIU standards-based grading survey. We identified some of the key barriers that we are still facing and shared the ongoing problem-solving and capacity-building that is happening now and through the summer.

The survey results have been emailed to the staff. Please contact Patrick Raleigh if you would like any further information.

Our final meeting is scheduled for May 12th in which we will be discussing structures and membership for the 2022-2023 school year. If interested, please contact an EAC rep or Patrick for more info.

Last Chance to Nominate a Knight for April!

Last chance to nominate a staff member for the April Star Search drawing. Nominate HERE!

This month, we'd love to hear about the ways in which nominees are increasing student ownership of learning. The names of ALL nominees will be displayed on the Wall of Fame at Meredith. One lucky nominee will be chosen at random to receive a Kaneland Box 'o Fun!

IgKnight Academy Community Presentations

The April, IgKnight Academy Communication launch is off to a great start! Presentations have been shared at the April 11th Board Meeting, the April Citizen's Advisory Committee meeting, and the April Facilities Planning Committee. Additionally, IgKnight Academy was featured in a Kane County Chronicle article. Take a look HERE.

Most recently, an open parent meeting was held on the evening of April 26th. We were excited to have an audience of over 50 people. A special thank you to Steering Committee members Dave Argabright, Cindy Babich, Kevin Hagan, and Suzanne Satterfield for co-presenting, and engaging in Q&A with parents.

If you are interested in viewing the presentation that has been shared at the meetings noted above, you can find it HERE, with voice-over audio explaining each slide.

Be sure to follow IgKnight Academy on Twitter @KIPLA302 and follow and like the Facebook page, Kaneland IgKnight Personalized Learning Academy.
