GCN Module Reminder

Please remember that GCN Modules are due to be completed by September 30th.  Once completed, please be sure to print your Certificate of Completion and turn it in to your Building Principal's Secretary.  Thank you.

Please remember that, if non-tenured or if in your second year of the tenured cycle, you would need to meet with your evaluator by October 1st to set your Student Growth Goal.  You will have several options to take advantage of when setting your goal, please be sure to network with your evaluator as you prepare for your meeting.  Thanks!

ELA Review Cycle Begins This Month

We are excited to begin the K-12 ELA Review Cycle process this month.  The team of ELA reps from each school will meet at Meredith on September 27th from 8-3.  The process for that day will be an overview of work, planning logistics, and getting started on the approved unit template.  The session will be K-12 in the morning and then break out sessions by grade span as the day progresses.  We are excited to begin this collaborative team process.  See you next week!

Student Teacher Process Update

As student teachers and student observers begin coming to our schools, please know that all college students would need to complete a Criminal Background Check at the ROE and a Physician's Certificate prior to starting at the school.  This includes receiving the results of the Criminal Background Check as well.  Under no circumstances should a student teacher or student observer be in the schools during student attendance hours without it.  Also, please remember that any placement of student teachers and student observers must go through Human Resources.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Adkins at x71114.  Thank you.

Proposals Due for IgKnight Conference

Don't forget to submit your proposal to present at the IgKnight Conference on November 19th.  We are excited to share the wonderful learning opportunities that are happening in our district.  These are more sharing and collaborating sessions to learn from each other.  We are looking for those that are excited to share and learn from others.  Please submit your proposal by next week using this link.  The Educational Service Department will follow up with you in October to confirm your session once proposed.  Thank you to all that are willing to share their progress and great learning ideas.
