Tyler 360 Tips

 The technology office has created great tips on how to use Tyler 360.  If you are in need of a bit more support and assistance check out this link.  The district is using Tyler 360 as the company retires Tyler Classic.

 Please feel free to self-enroll in the Fall KEA Initiatives Updates Canvas Course.  Take a moment between now and October 5th to review the 5 commitment areas from Kaneland Connects and share any questions you have with your ARs.   Please note that all Commitment Teams are a paid volunteer seat.  We look forward to sharing more about the Commitment Areas (see dates below for projected Team Meetings)

Best Practice in Remote Instruction

 In a recent essay published in the Chronicle of Higher Education, Jonathan Zimmerman called the Coronavirus outbreak a natural experiment, encouraging the initiation of research into the effectiveness of online learning during these challenging times. Others challenged this call, citing the abrupt shift to a new instructional format and inadequate time to thoroughly train and support educators, as not being representative of online instruction as a whole. With no solid research base to reference, what are teachers who suddenly find themselves teaching remotely to do?
