K-5 Math Review (K-5)

Today the K-5 Math Committee met for the final meeting of the year.  The team took lots of time to review all final pilot data and to discuss pros and cons of both final programs.  While it was a very challenging day and discussion, the team has reached a decision to propose the adoption of Imagine Learning. We will be planning the following PD dates below. Please reach out to sign up for the summer dates to Sarah Mumm.  Thank you to the hours of dedicated time of the pilot teachers and the committee.  It has been a long journey this year and I very much appreciate the hard work of you all!

No Place But Gnome (K-12)

Keep looking for those golden eggs and gnomes.  We still have a few out there. We wanted to share a few more reasons all of you love Kaneland shared with your found gnomes!

-I love Kaneland because I feel I have a voice even as a newer teacher

-I love that we could bring an idea to Dr. Mumm and she would ask questions and push us to do it because it would lead to better learning for students and push us as educators.  She never snuffed our torch, just led us in a better direction.

-Kaneland is the best because of the people I work with!

-I love the collaboration with my teammates.  I love that we have opportunities to develop and grow in areas we have an interest in.  Finally love the fun, games and competitions!

-I have worked here for 27 years in 4 different schools.  I am the funny guy at school.  They are my family.

-I am happy to call Kaneland home because I love my teammates.

-The reason I love calling Kaneland home is the sense of family that can only be created by each person embracing their strengths and personalizing the way that we support our family.
