Through the Kaneland Connects Strategic Planning process two words have emerged as our overall focus: Connected and Committed. We must all remain connected to each other and committed to our goals. Over the course of the next few weeks, we will share various videos of staff, students and parents sharing what they are most excited about in our new Kaneland Connects plan. The full plan will be shared later this Fall with all staff. Until then, check out the great connected and committed spiritwear options from a local vendor.
Welcome to the Curriculum Connection! Here you'll find news and updates on what's happening in the world of teaching and learning in Kaneland!

Three Cheers and MORE!
Full Remote Learning Module
If you did not get a chance yet to begin your reflection on how you would teach fully remote, please take time this week to explore the Full Remote Learning module. The activities are based on John Hattie's Distance Learning Playbook. At some point during this school year, we may be in full remote and so we want all staff to begin to plan ahead. Let us know if you have any questions regarding the process of full remote.
Welcome Back!
On behalf of the Kaneland Educational Service Department, we would like to welcome every staff member back to the first full week of student attendance. We know it has been a tough 6 months and together we have been through various new learnings and struggles. Thank you for your perseverance and patience the last few months. Please know we are here to assist you in any way we can. Our department is now located at Meredith in the LRC offices. Come and check out our new space. Also we are very excited to welcome Mrs. Laura Garland as the Personalized Learning Coordinator for the district. The three of us look forward to collaborating with all of you this year!
