K-2 Learner Profile Collection Process
2017-2018

Over the course of this school year, our younger students have been using a variety of templates for their reflective practices on the learner profile.  We realize that they do not have access to the “official” profile in the google drive until mid to end of Second Grade.  The following are directions to capture the excellent work kindergarten through second grade students have started and share with future grades as they graduate to the next level.  Please follow the directions specifically in order to provide ease in finding the students work in the future years.  Thank you to all staff who supported the learner profile completion and reflection with our students.  Such great products were produced along with amazing conversations.

Steps to Saving a Student’s Learner Profile:
Capture the document through one of the following processes:
PDF the document using the copy machines and email to yourself and then save using the following directions.
Capture the file via video and save using the following directions
Save from a school computer if it is in a word doc or publisher using the following directions.
If on Seesaw, download and save the file names using the following directions.
If on Flipgrid, use the link and download from this website or another video downloader.
https://www.onlinevideoconverter.com/video-converter
Be sure to select mp4  or .mov format (The default is mp3 which is audio only)
Then follow the directions below.
Rename the file with the students 6 digit ID number followed by their last name (example:  120061MUMM)
Save to the District Shared Drive.  Find the Learner Profile folder.  Inside this folder enter your students’ work in the corresponding Graduating Class Folder (example:  2017 Kindergarten will be saved in the Class of 2030)
Please do NOT create a school or teacher folder within this file.  Students do move from class to class and school to school.  Keep their work only in their graduating class file and search by their ID number
Please do not use or save to the Teacher Shared Drive, these cannot be accessed by all staff
