Last Chance to WIN Prizes!

DUE THIS FRIDAY:

It is time again for another great contest to really hit home what proficiency-based progress means (and tap into the creative side of our staff). We want you to create the best model for a Superhero that would define what proficiency-based progress and proficiency-based table creation exemplifies.  You have been working hard with your grade levels and departments on defining proficiency and making tables and now it is time to have some fun.  The winners of this contest will get a Kaneland Spirit Wear reward for their SUPER work!  All you need to do is:

1.  Create a PBP Superhero

2.  Send your Superhero model to Sarah Mumm or Patrick Raleigh

3.  Hope you win!

NOTE:  The format of your superhero could take any form (personalized learning option time).  It could be a picture you drew, a picture of yourself dressed up as PBP Superhero, a written description of your superhero, a clay model, or a full-length movie trailer.   Any format is acceptable.

Let's have some fun and capture the essence of proficiency-based progress work!   All submissions are due by November 15th.

IgKnight Conference Updates

We are excited to be just a few weeks away from the annual IgKnight Conference.  Please note these very important reminders:
1.  The Mental Health Breaks session has agreed to add a third session option.  If you would like to shift your sessions and take part in this session please make that change in SCHED prior to Friday.  The session runs from 1:00-1:50 and will meet in the East gym.  All Mental Health Break sessions will begin in the East Gym.
2.  The registration in SCHED will close FRIDAY.  If you are not registered for the sessions you would like by Friday, we will have you attend sessions of our choosing based on availability.  Make all session shifts by this Friday at 3:00pm.
3.  Be sure to log onto SCHED in the next week and print out your final schedule for the day.  We will not be handing out paper versions for staff with your schedule.  Please come prepared on the IgKnight Day with your own schedule or just simply pull it up on your phone/computer.
4.  Lunch that day is one hour long.  You are free to head out and enjoy lunch, pack your own, OR pre-order lunch to be delivered through McAlister's Deli.  The Kaneland Performing Arts Boosters are assisting us in the ordering process as a fundraiser.  Please check it out using this online link:

This is an opportunity to not go out in the cold, get food delivered, and help support our boosters.  WIN, WIN! We will also share with each school office a paper version of the form if you want to do the paper and check ordering stop by your school office after Wednesday, but online is preferred.
5.  Be sure to have your IEIN number on hand during sign on on the IgKnight Conference day.  It will assist us all in the registration process.
6.  We will be having raffles during the event based on learning and sharing and a twitter game!  We look forward to having you all share your learning and enter to win prizes.
