IgKnight 2018 Call for Proposals

Just a reminder we are looking for staff to present and share their stories of personalizing and innovative classroom practice at the November 19th district-wide in-service (IGKNIGHT).  There are so many great things happening in our classrooms and what a great way to learn from each other and share our internal expertise.  In order to create the final schedule and begin registration for this amazing event, we would like to have all proposals by 9/21.
Please complete your submission here once you've decided what you'd like to present.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Coming Soon....

We are excited to have Myron Dueck coming in just under 70 days!  He will be sharing insights from his book and sharing his keynote on Mixed Messages.  We are fortunate enough through grant funding to have some copies of his Grading Smarter Not Harder text in our offices.  If you would like a copy to preview and read prior to the event, please contact Sarah or Mike.  Supplies are limited, but we will send out as many as we have!

Data Days Preparation

Tis the season for data days.  Over the next few weeks each K-5 grade level team will be meeting to review the pre data with our RTI teams.  Here are just a few tips to make the meetings the most productive they can be.
1.  Be sure to have all data entered into Matrix or the spreadsheets shared by RTI
2.  Bring a list of questions you may have regarding the data or individual students
3.  Check in with your peers so you are familiar with intervention options for the cycle
4.  Be an active member.  Be sure to let your voice be heard and share in the conversations.  The meetings are meant to by interactive discussions, not just one way decisions.

Data days allow for all staff to truly take time to reflect on student progress and prepare the best support and learning path for students.  We hope you engage and enjoy your discussions.

Discovery Learning Streaming Service Discontinued

Staff-

You may recall last year being asked about Discovery Learning usage in your classroom.  Based on statistics pulled regarding district use and feedback gotten from buildings, this resource was not renewed this year.  If you are struggling to find something comparable or need help problem-solving an issue this might create for you, please reach out to your Ed Services Director and we would be happy to help you try to find a suitable replacement.

SIP Data Collection

Please remember that various people--admin, SIP team members, and instructional coaches--will be visiting your classrooms today through 9/21 to conduct interviews with your students for our baseline SIP data.  Once those interviews have completed, we will compile our findings and share them with you.

Have a great day!
