Kaneland Selected as Official Host of Kane County Day 2018!

Kaneland School District has been working with the Kane County Regional Schools to begin planning the March 2nd Kane County Institute.  Kaneland will be one of the highlighted host sites for this Institute.   We need your help...we are looking for staff who would like to present a session at this day, please start thinking now and look for their call for proposals to come out October 1st.  Some examples of topics that are already known areas of needs are information about the core cells of personalized learning, teaching techniques in NGSS, Balanced Literacy, or C3 Social Science Standards, and the use of technology in the classroom.

If you're interested in presenting but need help brainstorming a presentation, please contact Mike or Sarah for help!  Those of you presenting in November at IGKNIGHT might want to consider also presenting at the County-Wide day; let's show the county what we do great here at Kaneland and really host sessions that highlight our great work!

And while we're on the topic...if you would like to have a chance to win a VIP parking pass and snack basket, sign up to be the top team to escape the new professional development escape room the fastest!  The new escape room will open at the end of September and focuses on topics such as the growth mindset, the learning continuum, the decsion making continuum and the concepts of the dash.

Your team may sign up on the November SIP day, take a sub day to collaborate, lesson plan and escape, or sign up for an after school session in the escape room.  Contact Mike or Sarah for more information on planning your escape and winning the VIP treatment for Kane County Day!
