Personalizing in Content, Process or Product
This week at our monthly Administrative Professional Growth and Sharing day, a discussion of personalized learning became a huge ah-ha moment for many. During the discussion we shared how classrooms may personalize content, process and/or product. At times in the personalized learning journey you may find yourself encouraging students to personalize and make choice and decisions on the product. In other situations you may personalize by allowing students choice and voice in the manner in which they meet a certain expectation or standard. Each student may take a different process or path to reach the end expectation. Then there may be situations that lend themselves to allow student voice and choice in the choosing of sequence or standard they would learn for the content. By allowing student choice and voice in the product, process or content that is created and learned, you have shifted on the learning continuum to personalized. Personalizing learning does not mean that every second of each day needs to be student choice and self selection, but rather personalized learning may be seen in various forms in content, process, and product throughout the learning journey. Over the course of the next few professional development days and academies, we will begin to explore this concept in greater depth with all staff.

ELL Progress Reort Issue
It is that time of year again that we are sending progress reports out, Friday actually. If you are having trouble with the translated Spanish version and the fields shifting while you typed, then please copy and paste the translated comments into a separate word doc and staple to the progress report. We do realize there is a field issue on the document, but to edit the document would take hours and at this time the document cannot be shifted. We hope to have fields better secured for the next progress report period.
