Our newest teachers have had an impressive start to their Kaneland careers, and we are so glad to have them on-board! First, Second, and Third Year teachers will have a variety of topics to discuss throughout the year. Topics are broken out by month, and various facilitators will work with Inductee's throughout the year. First Year teachers will discuss 'Communication' with their Instructional Coaches. Communication may include, but is not limited to;
Parent/Teacher Conferences, Report Cards, Formative/Summative feedback, Team meetings, etc. Second Year teachers will discuss SMART goals and how to apply the SMART concept to the Student Goal setting process. There is no identified topic for Third Year teachers in September.
Please remember that all new teachers will need to complete a Coaching Cycle with an Instructional Coach. Be sure to set up a time as soon as possible! The Coaches are excited to begin working with you!
