Learner Profile Post Data Collection

As part of our ongoing SIP data collection process, we will be collecting Learner Profile data from February 7th- February 18th. Our Spring data is collected by the end of February each year in order to process the data in time for any summative evaluations (both teacher and administration) that need to be completed.

Please print this paper version for your k-3 students to complete. Completed forms can be sent to Sarah Mumm by Monday, February 22nd.

This link, https://kaneland.instructure.com/enroll/WKRTM7 will be shared with all 4th-12th grade students through Canvas at 8am on Monday, February 7th. Please be sure to remind your students to look for the link.

Thank you for all your hard work in supporting student reflection and advocacy.

January Star Search Winner

Congratulations to Lara Broz, as the January Star Search winner!!  Lara was nominated by Kate Atkins for...

Lara is the paraprofessional in our co-taught ELA class. Lara works tirelessly to ensure our students’ needs are met and is always willing to step up to the plate when help is needed. For example, both me and the SPED teacher were out ill and Lara jumped in to help the sub, guide the students, and keep them on pace. Lara is a great advocate for students and truly is an incredible asset in our ELA classroom, whether it be one-on-one, working in small groups, or helping to support the whole class. She’s amazing and she should absolutely be recognized for all she does! THANK YOU LARA!

A Box o' Fun is on its way to Lara in appreciation of all her hard work. Additionally, her name will be added to the Kaneland Wall of Fame at Meredith.

Please consider nominating a staff member for the February drawing. The theme this month is Friendship.  Take just a moment to recognize a colleague who has shown you compassion and kindness and who brings fun to your life each day.  As always, one nominee will be chosen at random to receive a Box o' Fun and all nominees will have their names added to the Wall of Fame at Meredith!

PBP Post SIP Data

We are so excited to report the post PBP data this year.  Our goal this year was to meet 85% of students self-reporting that they understand the purpose of randomly selected lessons (date and time were random).  The student needed to report they can identify the I can statement for the lesson and describe the feedback from the lesson linked to the I can.  Collectively we have met the 85% target, 85.1% of students self-reported in level 2 or 3 on the post data.  Excellent job making sure that each and every lesson has purpose and relevance for every student!  We have met our PBP goal!  Keep up the amazing work!
