The 10 Tenets of Kaneland Personalized Learning

Welcome to the new school year! We are excited to continue our work with the 10 tenets of personalized learning. As a reminder to our staff, Personalized Learning 3.0 focuses on 10 core tenets of effective instruction for meeting the personal needs of all students. As a reminder, everyone on staff last year have until May 2024 to complete and submit evidence of the tenets. Our new hires, as shared during orientation, you have until May 2025 to complete. These tenets are a great way to kick off your coaching cycles as well!

Tenet 1: The LDIP continuum

The purpose of the LDIP learning continuum is to have fluid progression throughout the unit of study among the LDIP levels depending upon content and student need. As a reminder, the LDIP continuum stands for (L) Legacy, (D) Differentiation, (I) Individualized, and (P) Personalized levels of instruction.

The expectation for this tenet is to show evidence of authentic implementation from your learning environment that exhibits the use of each of the levels of LDIP (legacy, differentiation, individualization, and personalization). Evidence must include multiple artifacts along with a reflection that shares the rationale for the instructional method and LDIP level utilized.
