Math Curriculum Review Joint Statement (K-5)

 Today the Math Curriculum Review team met for the next full team meeting.  The following were tasks from today’s work:

  • Teams spent time in grade levels further making suggested edits for proficiency tables, math assessments, and grade level vocabulary.

  • The teams then met vertically K-3 and 3-5 to share common vocabulary and structures for learning to assist in the process clarity across grade levels.  

  • In the afternoon the team members took time to brainstorm ideas for must do and may do learning structures in math, review the math delivery table expectations for math, began to review supported tools to teach our curriculum outlined on our tables, and reviewed the current math assessment guidelines document.

  • The team is planning further small group sub time to take more dedicated time to review print and online samples from various vendors. 

  • Our next full group meeting will take place January 27, 2025.
