EC-5 Committee Meeting Sub Days

Over the past week, we have been holding collaborative conversations with KEA Leadership to problem solve and clarify the sub day useage for district meetings.  Together we created a brief summary of the sub days for this year:

Meeting Days K-5 2020

Activity	Total Sub Days Dedicated to the Activity for 2019-202
Proficiency Based Tables	3 full days for each team for the year
District Behavior Team	3 half days for the year
ELA Review Team	2 full days for the year
Curriculum Review Team	3 full days and 1 half day for the year
MTSS Steering Committee	3 full days for the year
Collaborative Inquiry Team	1.5 sub days and 1 electronic check in for the year
Writing Norming Meeting	2 sub day per year
TOTAL (if on every team)	16 days and 1 electronic check in

If you take part in all of most of these committees it might be an area to consider for the future.  We would love to encourage staff to spread the teacher leadership so no one staff member is out of the classroom over 5-8 days.  Take time to review the leadership opportunities as a team and determine how to continue to have a voice in decision making while spreading the meeting time among staff.
