Food for Thought with technology-
At our recent Kaneland Connects Commitment meeting, we had some community members share the need for the district to provide more info on the apps that teachers are choosing to use in their classrooms - which prompted the discussion about how we are teaching our parents about the apps we use. Sometimes we assume that because the students are savvy enough to navigate _________ platform, parents must be as well. Please consider some type of quick video/reference information when starting to use a new app or program. These might include: Canvas pairing, SeeSaw, Khan Academy videos, Class DoJo, etc. We have a lot of wonderful resources, let's just be aware that parents might need some assistance in accessing these things!
