We hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend. As we turn the calendar to September we are wanting to share exciting news on personalized learning. Historically Kaneland has partnered with the Institute for Personalized Learning to conduct audits in our schools. The institute has been on campus doing audits twice over the last 10 years. This year we are excited to be able to conduct the audits internally and with an external local school district partner. Starting in September we will be having various stakeholder groups from Admin, Coaches, SIP Team Members, External Teachers, Cabinet, Coordinators, and other Staff conduct personalized learning audits. They will be coming around to random rooms and schools throughout September to April using this template with the purpose of collecting observational data on our implementation of the 10 personalized learning tenets. This is non-evaluative in nature but rather a way (just like past audits) to collect information to determine next steps in our personalizing journey. The staff member conducting the audit may be in your room around 15-20 mins. We are excited to see personalized learning in action in all schools based on the work of the Kaneland Connects Strategic Plan! If you have any questions at all please contact the Department of Educational Service.
