Curriculum Chats took place today with MTSS and SPED staff. Thank you to all that were able to attend. The following was discussed.
-Reminders that the small group dyslexia team is meeting again coming up in November. No state movement on the requirements of this process at this time
-MTSS Co-Teacher meeting met the other day and had great discussions. We will be following up with CHESS and Coordinators. We are looking to add a google form for co-teachers to request possible pull out.
-We discussed the need to share the essential focus of SPED and MTSS and build capacity of our community, internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.
-We reviewed the discussion of SPED staff also assisting, when groups allowed and are focused on similar needs, MTSS students.
-The team discussed how to now over support and allow students to show the level of support they need to be successful and scaffold off support in order to determine the intervention level or eligibility lefel needed for long term learning.
-The team took time to discuss looking at tools in the future for SPED and Gen Ed as we complete Curriculum review processes.
